Petros P. Koumantaros

Petros P. Koumantaros is a Managing Director and the Chief Executive Officer of Spectrum Pension Consultants, Inc. He became the Firm's CEO on December 23, 2005 and has served on its Board of Directors since 2003.

Petros' practice specialties include all forms of employer-sponsored deferred compensation plan arrangements. He consults with employer decision-makers in every aspect of employee benefit plan design and administration.

As an industry expert, Petros has testified before the U.S. Department of Labor ERISA Advisory Council and has lectured on business topics to retirement plan professionals. In December 2013, Petros was elected to the Board of Managers of Alliance Benefit Group, a national consortium of leading employee benefits consulting firms, which collectively provides services to over 13,000 plans, representing more than 1 million retirement plan participants and $51 billion in assets.

Petros is a credentialed member of the National Association of Plan Advisors (NAPA), where he holds the Certified Plan Fiduciary Advisor (CPFA) Designation. Since 2007, Petros has participated in the SunGard Relius Executive Forum, where his contributions influence software technology solutions for thousands of employers and over 4 million retirement plan participants.

Active in the community, Petros serves on the Board of the Rotary Boys & Girls Club of Seattle and is a member of the Seattle #4 Rotary Club, Fircrest Golf Club, and The Rainier Club. He has mentored University of Washington Business School students through the Rotary Business Mentors Program.

In July 2013, the Puget Sound Business Journal recognized Petros as one of the region's 40 Under 40, an award honoring distinguished business and civic leaders under the age of forty.

Prior to joining Spectrum, Petros was a Program Manager with Intel Corporation. Petros earned a Bachelor's Degree in Business Administration from the University of Washington, and an MBA from Arizona State University’s W.P. Carey School of Business. Petros, his wife Regina, and daughter Paige live in Seattle.
